Hi, I'm Amy Williamson — the heart, hands, and taste buds behind Flavor Spice Shop & Specialty Foods, and proudly known around these parts as The Flavor Lady. I'm a Kansas City native, a woman-owned business owner, and someone who genuinely believes that great food has the power to bring people together.

My love for cooking began standing in the kitchen beside my grandmas, my mom, and my dad — who turned out to be a pretty great cook himself. He was also the one who encouraged us to try new things, which sparked my curiosity and gave me the confidence to be bold in the kitchen. What started as a simple love for cooking has grown into a lifelong passion for creating bold, beautiful flavors that spark connection around the table — whether it's a quiet weeknight dinner or a bustling farmers market feast.

Founded in May 2020 with one simple yet profound mission — to make life taste better — FLAVOR has grown into a Kansas City community staple, built on creativity, care, and a whole lot of heart.

With over 60 spice blends and specialty products (and new flavors always in the works!), we're known for our bold, punny creations that are as fun to say as they are to cook with. From our "almost famous" Hook Me Up, Sister! — the blend that truly does go in everything — to crowd favorites like She's a Little Cray Cray, Blazin' Jay's Lit Up Lemon Pepper, Damn Good Salsa, Jamaica Me Happy, Jerk, and so many more, we love a great play on words almost as much as we love a great blend. Every jar is made in small batches with love, curiosity, and a whole lot of heart — because food should be more than just delicious… it should make memories.
