It’s zesty, lively, and guaranteed to light up chicken, seafood, veggies—or anything that needs a spark of flavor and fun.
THE STORY:
Blazin’ Jay’s was born from the spirit of my son, Jay. We lost him in a motorcycle accident two years ago, but if you knew Jay, you know he never really left the room—his light, his laughter, and that mischievous, ornery streak always linger.
Jay loved lemon pepper and anything spicy. He used to tease me that I didn’t make things hot enough, then sneak in more seasoning when he thought I wasn’t looking. Once he was living on his own, sharing recipes became our thing. And when I started competing in small amateur competitions, he was always there—sometimes to cook alongside me, but mostly to do what he proudly called “quality control.” He deemed himself the ultimate taster, if you know what I mean! We spent those times tasting, laughing, and occasionally arguing about who was really the grill master.
After Jay passed, his friends surrounded our family with love and support, carrying that same big energy he always brought to life. The first competition I could bring myself to enter without him, one of his closest friends and grilling buddies, Sean, stepped up and stood in for Jay. It was during that competition that this blend was born—bright lemon, bold pepper, a fiery kick, and a whole lot of Jay’s personality mixed in. Created by his brother Emory and me, and inspired by the wing competition, Blazin’ Jay’s was our way of honoring him and keeping his spirit alive in the flavors he loved most.
Blazin’ Jay’s isn’t just a seasoning—it’s a tribute. Bold, a little sassy, full of life, and guaranteed to leave a mark. Just like Jay.
